World champion Lewis Hamilton has admitted he prompted Niki Lauda's bizarre comments U-turn.

Last week, F1 legend and Mercedes team chairman Lauda told Austrian Servus TV that Hamilton trashed a hospitality room after crashing in Baku.

Not only that, Lauda claimed Hamilton "lied" about his supposedly good relationship with teammate Nico Rosberg.

But no sooner had the comments swept the international headlines that Mercedes issued a media statement on Lauda's behalf which totally denied the claims.

Hamilton has now admitted that he was astonished when he read Lauda's comments.

"I was sitting on the beach and was soaking up the sun enjoying my day, thinking 'I've just won a Grand Prix' and felt amazing," he said at Silverstone.

"Then I saw that had come out. I was like what the f---?" Hamilton revealed.

"I sent it to Niki and said 'What's this?' He and the team did a great job to address it but unfortunately the damage was already done," the Briton added.

"People see that and they think it's true -- that I have lost my s---. Having come off the win it turns a whole positive into a negative," Hamilton said.

Poslusajte pitanje Hill-a. Bravo. Voleo bih da matora drtina (odnosno ovo je posao za onog zabca Toda koji se krije kao u misijoj rupi) i kaze u lice direktno svima iz Mercedesa. Mogu timske naredbe, radite sta hocete, sabotirajte pit-stopove, zabranite da pretice (ako vas poslusa)  ali vozace vi necete kaznjavati zabranama ucestvovanja. Ako ih kaznite i vi cete biti kaznjeni. 
Lepo ga je Brundle ispreskakao za ovo oko "ugovora" kitu moju su potisali nesto, nema sanse, pogotovu Leonardo kojem ugovor istice. To je procedura od par nedelja.

Prema pravilima svaki tim moze u toku jedne sezone da koristi minimum dva i maksimum 4 vozaca. Ne postoji nista sto bi sprecilo Mercedes da parkira jednog ili oba sadasnja vozaca ako oni tako hoce. Nema razlike da li je razlog kazna, sponzorstvo, povreda, kurac-palac.

 

Naravno, koliko je to pametno to je sasvim drugo pitanje. Ali je legalno, i niko ih ne moze spreciti ako to zele.

Nico Rosberg believes he still retains the support of the overwhelming majority of Britain's Formula 1 fans despite boos being heard when he stood on the podium at Silverstone.

 

Da, kao sto vecina fanova u Austriji i Nemackoj podrzavaju Hamiltona i nisu mu zvizdali.

Dobro, sada kad Hamilton postane cetvorostruki sampion moze kod Fetela u Ferari pa da njih dvojica rasprave ko je bolji, a Mercedes ce Rozbergu dovesti Harijanta ili vec nekog slicnog Eriksona da mu glumi Barikela pa ce valjda konacno i on da postane sampion... :ajme:

Niko Rozberg je, kao i njegov otac, ocigledno rodjen pod srecnom zvezdom. GP2 titulu je osvojio u fenomenalnoj konkurenciji, vozeci naravno za ART GP, a ta sezona je poznata po buducim F1 zvezdama kao sto su Heiki Kovalainen, Skot Spid i Fairuz Fauzi, koji je jednu sezonu bio test vozac laznog Lotusa Tonija Fernandesa. Prve dve trke njegove F1 karijere su presudne za gradjenje neke slike da je on kao veliki talenat i da mu samo treba dati dobar auto. Postaje najmladji vozac sa najbrzim krugom na F1 trci u Bahreinu, a na drugoj trci u Maleziji osvaja trece mesto u kvalifikacijama. Do kraja sezone nije uradio nista, doduse taj Vilijams se zaista raspadao u trkama i RET je uglavnom bio najcesci rezultat i njega i Vebera, ali je porazen od Vebera sa prilicno ubedljivih 6-12 u kvalifikacijama i 4-7 u bodovima, sto stvarno nije relevantno zbog sramne nepozudanosti tog Vilijamsa.

Veber odlazi a za timskog kolegu u 2007. dobija coveka koji je poslednji put bio trkacki vozac nekog tima 2000. godine. Okej, stvarno je bio ubedljivo bolji od Vurca u kvalifikacijama, ali u ovim trkama koje su vozili zajedno Vurc je imao jedno trece i jedno 4. mesto, a Rozberg nista bolje od 6, i Vurc je imao svega bod manje od Rozberga kada se na VN Kine penzionisao.

A onda 2008. se suocio sa velikanom Nakadzimom, ispred kojeg je u poretku uspeo da zavrsi zahvaljuci cuvenoj VN Singapura 2008, kada je zavrsio drugi. Nakadzima je sakupio bodove za Vilijams na vise trka od Rozberga (btw, godinu dana posle je izjavio da je on moralni pobednik trke u Singapuru 2008, pritom zaboravljajuci na malu i nebitnu cinjenicu da je u trenutku Pikeovog udaranja u zid bio na sjajnom devetom mestu koje je donosilo velikih 0 bodova). 2009. je mora se priznati bio ubedljiv protiv giganta Nakadzime, i imao je par solidnih voznji.

Znamo svi da je u periodu od 2010-2012 vozio sa covekom koji je bio u petoj decenij zivota, i pobedio ga u sve tri. Mada evo sada, pomalo i ostrasceno priznajem, kada pokusavam da se prisetim nekih upecatljivih voznji njih dvojice u te tri sezone, za Rozberga mi padaju na pamet njegove dve Kine, trece mesto 2010. i pobeda 2012, zapravo tri, i Bahrein 2010. kada se vozio u iza dve sekunde po krugu sporijeg Fetela 20 krugova, nakon sto su ga kao od sale na pravcu pretekli Alonso, Masa?! i Hamilton. Za Sumahera odmah mogu da se setim Barselone, Turske i Koreje 2010, Kanade i Monce 2011, kvalifikacija u Monaku 2012. i podijuma u Valensiji 2012.

Posle dolazi Hamilton, koji ga pobedjuje u prvoj sezoni u novom timu, pa i u drugoj, trecoj, a verovatno i u cetvrtoj.

Rozberg ce na kraju karijere kako stvari stoje imati vise pobeda od svetskih sampiona Kimija Raikonena, Mike Hakinena, Dejmona Hila (o cijim vozackim kvalitetima stvarno nemam pozitivno misljenje), Nelsona Pikea Sr, Nikija Laude, Huan Manuel Fandja i Dzekija Stjuarta, koji zajedno imaju 18 titula a on 0.

Ali to je kad je neko rodjen pod srecnom zvezdom.

Rozberg je dobio ugovor zato što nije bilo trika da Max dođe u tim. Tako da je izabrana sigurna varijanta gde će postojeći vozači okušati sreću sa novim autom.

E da, Ceče je rešio da tim bude dominantan do 2020. godine i ima praktično no limit resurse.

Ovih dana je u Vertu (mercedesova fabrika kamiona) zabeležen vrlo čudna buka iz v klase sa amg stajlingom. Auto je čitav dan okretao krugove na poligonu.

Nadam se da Honda, Reno i Ferari rade slične stvari da jopet ne bi pao gangbang na staru nove sezone...

Lewis Hamilton says he was not responsible for his poor start in Monza, despite a radio message to the team during the race in which he accepted blame.

At the Mercedes post-race debrief Hamilton was told by his engineers that it wasn’t his fault, and that the clutch was responsible.

“I’m told it wasn’t driver error, I’m told it wasn’t anyone’s error,” he said. “We continue to have an inconsistency with our clutch. You’ve seen it with Nico in Hockenheim. It’s bit me quite a lot this year. I was told the procedure was done exactly how I was supposed to do it, but unfortunately we just over delivery of torque, and the wheels were just spinning from the get-go.”

Hamilton said the team has worked extensively on the clutch this season.

“Of course, we never stop improving and learning. Today we would have learned again. But yeah, this year has been a harder year for us with out clutch. They’ll be working very hard. It’s not a quick fix, something you can change for the next race. We have made improvements, so we have seen more consistent, better starts, but we are still caught out by the random variation that we have from one weekend to the other. We do practice starts all weekend, and they’re varying a little bit, and then we get a drastic variation on the grip.

“As I said you’ve seen it with Nico, you’ve seen it with me, quite a few times. It is something that we need to work on. I can assure you on Tuesday [in the factory] that’s the only thing we’ll be talking about, because everything else we’re doing really well. So we’ll be trying to work and give as much information, learn as much as we can, if there’s any more, to try and make sure in the next six or seven races… We’re not struggling with pole positions, it’s just getting off the line.”

The FIA and rival teams want to stop a rule loophole that explains some of the superiority of Mercedes' 2016 car.

That is the claim of Germany's specialist Auto Motor und Sport, claiming the silver-clad team not only has the best engine in F1 but also the best chassis.

The report said the Mercedes has an hydraulic roll and height control system - similar to the earlier 'Fric' concept that was banned - that cleverly uses the 'step' in the top of the chassis to mimic active suspension.

For aesthetic reasons, this 'step' was allowed to be covered by a so-called 'vanity panel' after 2012, but it also gave Mercedes a place to house the system outside of the carbon tube.

Correspondent Michael Schmidt said: "The other teams now recognise the trick and put it on the agenda for the technical meeting on the Tuesday after Monza."

He added that the FIA would like to ban it shortly, but that would require the agreement of all the teams - including Mercedes - to change the 2017 regulations.
