When he's not covering Antony & the Johnsons for The Believer or lending songs to Fat Tire beer commercials, Devendra Banhart makes his own albums with lengthy tracklists. His fourth studio effort, Cripple Crow, was recorded earlier this year up in Woodstock, N.Y., at Bearsville studios.

A release for the album says: "This new album finds Devendra continuing his extraordinary growth as a writer, vocalist, and musician. Songs like 'Now That I Know' and 'I Do Dig a Certain Girl' among others provide more of the hushed, mysterious acoustic alchemy that delighted listeners on preceding set though the new tunes show still greater artistic depth and delicacy."

Cripple Crow will be released in North America on September 13 by XL Recordings.

danas se pojavio na oink.me.uk, pa na indietorrents.com, oba su bittorrent invite only sajtovi :-( verovatno će se već sutra pojaviti na ostalim p2p sajtovima. ja koristim uglavnom bittorrent. ako ne nadješ drugde, javi mi gde da ga uploadujem (tj. koji p2p program koristiš). Btw, ova verzija koja se pojavila je u aac formatu (ekstenzija m4a, varijanta mpeg-a, postoji decoder za winamp).

za razliku od svedenih prethodnika, ono sto sam do sad cula sa cripple crow' zvuci sarenije i sa mnogo vise instrumenata i gostiju....onako groovy...i dalje totalni hipi koncept.....

mene na neki neobican (i pozitivan) nacin podseca na cat stevensa (u najboljem periodu)....

Pojavio se na Slsk-u.Juce ga skinuo.Ima bend sa sobom.I mislim da je za moj ukus,bend ono sto mu je ranije najvise falilo.Mozda mi je ovo i najbolji njegov do sad.
Odlepih kad cuh pocetne stihove pesme Beatles-Paul Mccartney and Ringo Starr are the only Beatles in the world...
