Našao sam neke informacije o Hanoju:

* VinGroup (The organizer) will finish all race track and paddock on April 2019 (so they only have 5 months to complete everything). On opening ceremony, Vingroup will provide information about ticket prices (I guess maybe lower than Malaysian GP) and at least 2 F1 drivers will come to Vietnam for driving some laps. Don't be surprised by the speed of construction because Vietnam is extremely serious about this race.

* Vietnam chooses April to organize the F1 GP because we don't want to compete directly to Singapore GP. We will have 6 months per race in Southeast Asia rather than 2 races in a row like 2016 F1 season (Malaysia GP and Singapore GP was both in October). Also, April is Easter Holiday so Vietnam wants to attract more foreign tourists.

* In addition, Vietnam firework festival, which is the biggest ones at SEA, starts on April 30th. Therefore, foreign tourists will have a good time in Vietnam with many activities to visit (I recommend you must have around 2 weeks for all activities in Vietnam in April).

* SunGroup and VinGroup (Main Sponsor) have many resorts and theme parks around Vietnam so they can provide foreigners with good buddle (F1 tickets, hotels and Firework Festival tickets).

* Vietnam is excited with F1. For instance, all fan pages on Facebook, TV, newspaper, and forums talk and discuss Vietnam GP. In an interview with Vietnamese, many people want to pay 250-300 USD for one ticket at Main Grandstand on the 1st GP (we are curious about F1). Vietnamese are not as poor as you think. We paid 75-150 USD/tickets in black markets for a football match on My Dinh Stadium on Friday (Vietnam vs Malaysia). The concert with famous Vietnamese or Korean singers is sold out with a steep price ( up to 125-200 USD/ticket). Therefore, I believe that the 1st Vietnam GP will be sold out easily.

The drought is over. Racing will return to the Milwaukee Mile oval.

Hold off on that Milwaukee Mile obituary a bit.

Next Father’s Day weekend, venerable State Fair Park will host its first oval-track race since 2015, the ARCA Midwest Tour and event promoter Bob Sargent said Friday.

“This is an interesting situation; I was there (several) years, approached the fair board and we were looking at a date and a sanction and it just didn’t pan out,” Sargent said in a telephone interview. “So I’ve had my little relationship there, my feelers, so we kept looking at that facility we wanted to add to our list.”

The Midwest Tour, then under the ASA umbrella and different ownership, raced at the Mile from 2012-’14. The first of those was exceptionally well received, but by the third time, the crowd was negligible.

“Hopefully we’re going to duplicate the first year and fill the grandstand,” Sargent said. “We are very conscious of what happened there.

“That’s what we do; we go in there and evaluate the good things, the bad things, the positives, negatives. Hopefully we bring all the positives and we become aware of the negatives of the past and don’t do it again.”

Wisconsin driver Travis Sauter won the first of those races, held under temporary lights in the middle of the week in front of about 15,000 spectators. NASCAR star Kyle Busch won the second, a twilight race shortened from 150 laps to 115 because of darkness. Erik Jones, now in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, won in 2014 on a Sunday in early June.

The Mile hosted its first race in 1903 and had been referred to as the country's oldest continuously operating speedway. It hosted open-wheel and stock-car events until 2010, when promoter problems led IndyCar Series and NASCAR races to be moved elsewhere.

Indy cars returned from 2011-’15, but promoter Michael Andretti could not make the event financially viable.

Since then, the infield road course has been used by sports-car clubs, and Midwest Tour owner Gregg McKarns held monthly drag races on the front stretch this past summer.

Track Enterprises, Sargent’s company, has scheduled 38 special events at more than 20 venues for next season, including ARCA and USAC races at the Indiana and Illinois state fairgrounds. It owns tracks in conjunction with such drivers as Tony Stewart, Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace, and operates some weekly shows.

Sargent also has been involved previously with the Midwest Tour in promotions in Elko, Minnesota, and Clermont, Indiana.

The Mile weekend will include the Mid-American Stock Car Series, Midwest Truck Series and Upper Midwest Vintage Racing Series, McKarns said. The Midwest Tour race is scheduled for 75 laps. Other details are to be announced during a news conference early next year.

“Scheduling is a big thing when you try to take events somewhere, so we’re trying to lock in this Father’s Day weekend,” Sargent said. “We’re already looking towards 2020, 2021, how to shape this and keep it growing. But this is our start at the Milwaukee Mile.”

Monza proposes major track changes for 2022

The home of the Italian Grand Prix has proposed major changes to its circuit to celebrate its centenary year in 2022.

It is already the fastest circuit on the calendar, with Kimi Raikkonen breaking the record for the fastest lap in Formula 1 history there earlier this year.

The proposal which has been submitted, includes the removal of one of its chicanes, likely to be the Variante della Roggia (the second) chicane.

The second Lesmo would also be reprofiled to make for a quicker exit onto the back straight and under the bridge down to Ascari.

Other changes include widening the track to bring it in line with the FIA’s 12 metre stipulation, and building new access roads to ease travel concerns.

New grandstands and the renovation of much of the banking are also included in the plans.

The organisers are looking to sort this development for the 2022 race, but the circuit only has a contract to host the Italian Grand Prix through to 2020.

A new contract with Liberty and the FIA is thought to be the key to the revamp going ahead.

It will require major government backing, from both regional and local parties, with the work estimated at around €100million.

“The money will be found in some way,” Angelo Sticchi Damiani, president of ACI, said.

“The agreement [to host F1] expires in two years, we’re seeking a long-term agreement that justifies such an investment.”
