Sledeca stanica na kalendaru ovosezonskog F1 sampionata sveta je Malezija. Staza Sepang je u odnosu na proslu sezonu temeljito rekonstruisana, i iako na oko ne deluje da je znacajnije promenjena razlike su prilicno velike. Pre svega, izravnate su neravnine i postavljena nova asfaltna podloga, zatim je poboljsana kanalizacija i odvod kisnice sa staze, i na kraju je nekoliko krivina reprofilisano i znacajno usporeno. Iako gledajuci mapu staze ne izgleda da ima razlike, verovatno ce se one osetiti na vremenima po krugu. Prakticno nijedan deo staze nije ostao nedodirnut.
 
U poretku sampionata prednost je ponovo na strani Rosberga za 8 poena. Ukljucujuci ovu trku, ima jos 6 trka do kraja, bice tu jos svacega.

 

Pireli donosi najtvrdju mogucu kombinaciju guma, a vozaci su birali ovako:

Faliće mi taj tip, kad se setim kako ga je matori kurvar okarakterisao na početku karijere...there is too many parties, too many contracts...a on se u to razume... ;)

No, nismo bas toliko losi... :lol+:

 

Ali ono, uvek moze da bidne nesto nepredvidljivo, crkne bolid pred start, ili se slupa u krugu za zagrevanje... ;)

Nico Rosberg believes the re-profiled final corner at Sepang will create new opportunities for overtaking.

 

The inside of the corner has been raised to create an off-camber section, altering the ideal line.

 

“Turn 15 is interesting,” said Rosberg, “you can now try several different lines if you’re attacking the guy in front, so that will be good for overtaking.”

The entire track has also been resurfaced and other alterations made to some corners Rosberg gave the changes the thumbs-up.

“The new track surface is really enjoyable to drive,” he said. “Challenging, but with good grip.”

“It’s tough to get the setup right with such an unknown element as new tarmac, but we’re on the right track.”

Carlos Sainz Jnr was also enthusiastic about the changes.

“The fact that the track has been resurfaced means it’s like being at a new track,” he said. “We’ve been around three seconds quicker already compared to last year and it’s still only free practice.”

“It’s definitely being a new challenge, with faster lap times, and I have to say that the car feels amazing to drive as there’s a lot of grip out there, so I’m enjoying it.”

Fernando Alonso will start the Malaysian Grand Prix from the back of the grid this weekend as will run Honda's updated power unit, which will incur a 30-place grid penalty as he has already used the maximum allowed units this season.

Honda had looked at introducing a final upgrade of the season to use up its remaining three development tokens during one of the final five races, but keen to avoid a grid penalty at its home race in Japan, it brought the upgrade forward to Malaysia instead.

Alonso will trial the developments, which include a lighter engine block and new exhaust, on his McLaren during first practice on Friday.

He will get a new internal combustion engine, turbocharger, MGU-H, battery and control electronics, amounting to a 30-place grid drop, which will see him start last unless another driver takes a larger penalty.

Honda spent two tokens on the update, leaving it with one, which it likely won't spend before the season concludes.
