Valjda su na Fetelovom bolidu hteli promenuti podešavanja zadnjeg vešanja pa su otkrili curenje tečnosti (ne znam koje) iz neke komponente što je značilo rastavljanje celog zadnjeg dela.

Sebastian Vettel has revealed that a garage power cut added to Ferrari's woes on the final day of in-season testing in Bahrain, as the team failed to get the mileage it wanted.

Having lost most of the morning while the team worked on fixing some minor hydraulic leaks that had been discovered during a configuration change, Ferrari found itself further confined to the garage in the afternoon when its garage systems went down.

Vettel was able to get going again before the end of the day – ending up second quickest overall – but was left slightly annoyed at the missed opportunity to get through all he had wanted.

"It was a bit mixed, not ideal," said Vettel about his day. "We lost a lot of time, as we had an issue with the car that we could fix. And then also we had a power supply issue.

"The whole garage shut down, I think we lost another two hours trying to fix it before it came back."

Vettel said that in the end Ferrari's two days of running had not been too bad though, with third driver Antonio Giovinazzi getting through a good programme on the opening day.

Čarls Lekler će voziti Ferarijevu mašinu na unutarsezonskom testiranju u Hungaroringu

The diminatore the first season of Formula 2, Charles Leclerc will drive the Ferrari SF70H in tests that followed the Hungarian GP: for Monaco will be the first exit on the Red this year. And there are those who think it's investiture in 2017 ...

It 'a magical moment for Charles Leclerc. The resident of the Ferrari Driver Academy is dominating from the top of an absolute superiority of the FIA Formula 2 series in its first season, with six pole positions (in six disputed qualifications) and five hits.

A score that sees him atop the championship standings with 61 points ahead well on the russo Markelov, the first of the pursuers.

To gratify his season in 2017, however, they are not only the record results in Formula 2, as programmed in the Formula 1 tests after the Hungarian Grand Prix there will also debut at the wheel of Ferrari SF70H.

The Scuderia has not released official statements, but the paddock for granted a test planned for some time (alternating with Antonio Giovinazzi who turned in testing in Bahrain). A debut that is especially significant now that the Leclerc name starts to turn in the market rumors as a likely candidate to debut in Formula 1 next season in a team close to the Ferrari (Haas or possibly Sauber).

In the paddock there are those who think the Monegasque candidacy alongside Sebastian Vettel, in the case in Maranello decided not to renew the contract of Kimi Raikkonen.

But for now are rumors and nothing more. What is certain is that after years of almost absolute market "junior" control by the youth program of Red Bull, the 2017 season is promoting the work of the Ferrari Driver Academy, which has under its umbrella the most interesting talents of the moment .

Auer to test for Force India in Hungary

dtm-lausitzring-2017-polesitter-lucas-au

DTM frontrunner Lucas Auer will drive the Force India VJM10 in Formula 1 in-season testing at the Hungaroring, the team has confirmed.

The test will mark the 22-year-old Austrian's first run in Formula 1 machinery.

"Really exciting news - the most beautiful moment of my life," said Auer, who is the nephew of grand prix winner Gerhard Berger.

"For me, it's a childhood dream come true to drive an F1 car for the first time. I'm particularly proud that this will happen with Sahara Force India - a top Formula 1 team."

Auer, in his third season of DTM competition with Mercedes, currently sits in second place eight races into the 2017 campaign, as he trails championship leader Mattias Ekstrom by just two points.

He had moved to the German touring car championship back at the start of 2015, after three years in Formula 3 racing – during which he became runner-up in German F3 and finished fourth twice in European F3.

During his DTM career so far, the Austrian's car has carried the colours of the Best Water Technology Group, a company that also now acts as the livery sponsor for Force India.

Joining Auer for the two-day event will be Force India development driver Nikita Mazepin, who took part in the post-British GP test with the team last year.

The 18-year-old, who was formerly runner-up in the karting world championship, currently sits 15th in the standings in his second campaign in European F3.

Mazepin and Auer will drive the VJM10 for half a day each on both days of the August 1-2 test.

"We are pleased to be running two talented youngsters at the Budapest test," said team owner Vijay Mallya.

"We already know Nikita well and giving him time in the VJM10 is the next stage in his development programme with us.

"I'm delighted to welcome Lucas to the team and will follow his progress closely. It's always a special moment when a driver gets to experience an F1 car for the first time and I'm pleased Lucas can make his debut in one of our cars."

Williams & Haas begin 2018 Pirelli tyre testing at Silverstone

Pirelli’s 2018 tyre testing program is underway, with a two day private test currently underway at Silverstone. Following the British Grand Prix at the venue over last weekend, two teams have stayed on to carry out tyre testing for 2018 on behalf of Pirelli.

Williams are running Lance Stroll, and Haas with Antonio Giovinazzi, who drove in Friday practice FP1 for the team.

Pirelli say that the test is scheduled to be a specific slick tyre test but, due to the changeable inclement weather in the UK, a wet tyre program is ready as backup.

The testing regulations allow for 25 car days to be run over the course of the season, with such tests using current cars being organised by the competiting teams, the FIA and Pirelli.

Matsushita joins Sauber for Hungary test

Honda junior driver Nobuharu Matsushita will get his first taste of Formula 1 machinery with Sauber at the post-Hungarian Grand Prix test.

The F2 race winner will drive on the second day of the two-day test, taking over the car from fellow GP2 racer Gustav Malja.

Matsushita's run for Sauber comes against an intriguing backdrop, with the Swiss team evaluating what do to about its engine plans for 2018.

A deal to run Honda engines was agreed earlier this year, but it has subsequently emerged that no final contract was signed. That meant Sauber was left evaluating whether to stick with the Japanese manufacturer or look elsewhere in the wake of the departure of team boss Monisha Kaltenborn.

Matsushita's run would indicate that Honda has not been totally ruled out, although the Japanese does drive in F2 for ART, which is run by Sauber's new team principal Frederic Vasseur.

Speaking about the test, Vasseur said: "I am pleased that Nobuharu has this great opportunity. He deserves the experience of his first test in a Formula 1 car.

"Ever since his debut in Formula 2 with ART Grand Prix, I have been following his progress closely, and have watched him advance his performance from year to year. With this Formula 1 test, he comes one step closer to his dream of becoming an F1 driver one day."

Vasseur said immediately after joining Sauber earlier this month that his priority would be in sorting out what to do about the Honda situation.

WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING CONFIRMS LUCA GHIOTTO FOR HUNGARY YOUNG DRIVER TEST

WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING is pleased to announce that Luca Ghiotto will make his Formula One debut with the team at next month’s young driver test in Hungary on 1-2 August.

The 22-year-old will split driving duties with Felipe Massa at the two-day test, which immediately follows the Hungarian Grand Prix.

2015 GP3 runner-up, Luca, has been a regular front-runner in this year’s FIA Formula 2 Championship, finishing all but one race inside the top 10. He became a GP2 race-winner in his rookie season last year before the series was rebranded for 2017. He is currently fifth in the Drivers’ Championship with three podium finishes.

The young Italian achieved five wins in the 2015 GP3 Series, breaking the record for the number of pole positions and fastest laps in a season, but narrowly missed out on the title to Esteban Ocon, after losing out to the Frenchman at the final race of the season.

Speaking about next month’s test, Luca said, “A big thanks to Williams for this opportunity. I think the first F1 test for any driver is a special moment, and to do it with such an historic team is even better so I’m really excited. Of course, I also need to focus on the F2 weekend beforehand, but I’m really looking forward to the test and I really hope it goes well.”

Claire Williams, Deputy Team Principal, commented, “This will be Luca's first opportunity of a Formula One outing. Our team has a strong track record for developing young talent, and we always enjoy seeing young drivers getting opportunities to demonstrate their ability. I look forward to seeing how he performs in the car next month.”

McLaren hands Hungary F1 test shot to F3 star Norris

McLaren junior Lando Norris will drive the team's MCL32 car in Formula 1's in-season testing at the Hungaroring, it has been announced.

Norris, 17, has been the part of the Woking team's set-up since the beginning of the year and has already tested a 2011-spec McLaren MP4-26 at Algarve.

Now the Briton will make his debut behind the wheel of McLaren's 2017-spec challenger, as he will take over from team regular Stoffel Vandoorne on the second day of the August 1-2 test.

The test opportunity is part of Norris' prize for winning the 2016 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

McLaren had fielded Oliver Turvey alongside Vandoorne in the preceding in-season F1 test at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Norris currently competes in the European Formula 3 championship with Carlin. A rookie in the category, he has three wins to his name and currently sits third in the drivers' standings.

In his two prior years in junior single-seaters, the former karting world champion won titles in the British MSA F4 series, the Toyota Racing Series in New Zealand and Formula Renault 2.0 categories Eurocup and NEC.

The Briton is not the only member of McLaren's F1 junior programme driving in the Hungary test, with Honda-backed Japanese racer Nobuharu Matsushita getting the call-up from Sauber.
