Da ga ybm, ovo je iz kompjutera.

Izgleda vrlo onako, kako bih rekao, strogi spartanski dizajn. Mislim da kad izadje na pistu neće puno ličiti na ovu fotku.

Lotus says it is financially sound now

Lotus has the budget it needs to achieve its target of challenging Williams in Formula 1 this year, claims its CEO Matthew Carter.

Having spent last year consolidating its finances to cut dramatic losses, the team now has a much better handle over its budget.

After admitting that it had perhaps gone too far with staffing cutbacks last year, Carter says that it has responded.

"Without going in to too many details, in trying to sort out the finances - which we did - we laid off a number of people this time last year," he told AUTOSPORT.

"We possibly laid off a few too many so, during the course of the year, we got people back to the design office and aero office.

"We've also restructured the aero department and we are now seeing the fruits of that effort come off."

Although Lotus has lost some sponsors to Williams, and its car had some empty space in computer images released on Monday, Carter says that the money situation will be different by the time the 2015 season begins.

"Our budget for this year, although reduced compared to 2013, is similar to last season," he said.

"We have a couple of new sponsors that, although not featured on the car today, will be there for the first race.

"A lot of the back office work at the business is producing results, so financially we are looking good.

"And it is important to say that if we do get more money, then that will go straight on to improving car performance.

"In previous years such additions may have gone in to the black hole of debt, but now it can go straight on to the car."

SIGHTS SET ON WILLIAMS

The change from Renault to Mercedes engines has left Lotus hoping it can repeat what Williams did last year, when it jumped up the grid.

Carter believes that the steady financial situation, and staffing tweaks mean that it can achieve its ambition of threatening its Grove-based rival.

"We are hoping that we can challenge and get around where Williams are," said Carter, who revealed that windtunnel figures for the new E23 had been hugely encouraging.

"I don't want to be too optimistic, because it is important to be realistic, but finishing third or fourth in the constructors' championship is really our target.

"But that is largely dependent on how Red Bull cope with Renault, what Honda do with McLaren and where Ferrari get to."

Formula 1 Dream Gets Closer For Carmen Jordá

1424950515_extras_noticia_foton_7_3.jpg

Carmen Jordá is one step closer to her goal of racing in Formula 1 today, as it was announced she would be joining the Lotus F1 Team family for the year as a Development Driver. With her sights firmly set on driving the E23 Hybrid before the year is out, Carmen will work closely with the team on an intensive simulator programme in Enstone, while being put through her paces thanks to a comprehensive fitness regime to prepare for the opportunity.

Combined with attending Grands Prix and tests for Lotus F1 Team, Carmen’s role will focus on assessing the latest developments of the team’s 2015 challenger. With racing experience in both Europe and America, Carmen’s distinctive perspective will serve to further enhance the E23’s evolvement curve.

Daughter of ex-driver Jose Miguel Jorda, Carmen has been racing professionally since 2001 and her goal has always been Formula 1: “It feels like a dream come true to join Lotus F1 Team,” said the Spanish driver. “I’ve been racing since I was ten years old so it was my dream to drive a Formula 1 car since I was very young.

“Joining Lotus F1 Team is a big step towards my goal. I will be working to improve myself as a driver as well as helping the team to develop the car by testing new developments in the simulator; it’s such a fantastic opportunity. I know this is just the beginning and the biggest challenge is yet to come but already being part of a team with such a history is a real honour. This is a great achievement, but an even greater opportunity which will lead to bigger and better things.”

Lotus F1 Team CEO, Matthew Carter, added: “We are happy to announce Carmen Jordáas a Development Driver for Lotus F1 Team and we are looking forward to working with her over the course of the season and ultimately seeing her behind the wheel of the car.

“Carmen will bring a fresh perspective to the team,” continued Matthew, reflecting on Carmen’s racing background which covers Formula 3 and Indy Lights, as well as the GP3 Series. “We have a strong programme for her attending Grands Prix as well as extensive time in our sophisticated simulation facility at Enstone. She is a unique addition to the team and we are looking forward to helping her progress her goals as well as receiving the benefit of her insights and contributions to the development of the E23 Hybrid.”

Tipican "placenik", tri godine u GP3 seriji bez ijednog osvojenog boda, 27 godina, nema ona ni blizu talenat da vozi u F1. Mozda joj budu dali da radi neke demonstrativne voznje ono kad prikazuju F1 na ulicama gradova, ako i toliko.
