Del Potro indicated he had been experiencing pain regularly since returning a few weeks ago, but said it had increased since his first match at the tournament.
"It's nothing new, nothing different," he told press at Miami following the match. "But I already know these things going to happen very often to me."I hope nothing dangerous. I mean, I will see what's going on after today and see if I can practice tomorrow, if I can hit again like a little backhand."The former U.S. Open champion is concentrating on simply improving his game and has been visibly restricted on his backhand."My biggest opponent is just myself," he said. "They said before this is a long road to get better. Not to play well or to win matches, just to get better and to play tennis again. I'm looking forward for that. For me it's like surprise when I win a match in this moment because I'm not 100 percent yet."Though next scheduled to play Monte Carlo, del Potro did not specify where he would play next, but said he was happy with the way his comeback has been going. "I already played three tournaments and I won five matches," he said. "If I have another tournament very soon would be great for me."
