Snimanje debitantskog albuma Bee And Flower „What’s Mine Is Yours“ (Neurot Recordings, 2003.) počelo je nedelju dana pre napada na Njujork, 11. septembra 2001.

U proleće 2004. svo troje se nalaze u Berlinu i uz pomoć prekaljenih muzičara (Thomas Wydler: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kristof Hahn: Swans, Angles Of Light), a u raskošnoj Dammitovoj produkciji započinju rad na novom albumu.

AMG o bendu:

The haunting and cinematic Bee and Flower feature singer/songwriter Dana Schechter and keyboardist Roderick Miller, who founded the band in New York City in 2000. Three years later, the duo issued its debut album, What's Mine Is Yours, wowing the likes of The New Yorker, The Village Voice, and Time Out New York. A move to Berlin followed in 2004, and Bee and Flower joined producer Toby Dammit for the recording of their second offering. Slated for release in 2007, the new collection of tracks features appearances from Thomas Wydler (Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds), Kristof Hahn (Angels of Light), and Peter Von Poehl (A.S. Dragon).

AMG recenzija prvog albuma:

A dirge and dark quality is what shines through on this album, particularly on the moody and minimal "I Know Your Name." Lead singer and songwriter Dana Schechter seizes control of each song with a sexy yet sophisticated performance, resembling a combination of k.d. lang if she fronted Ida or Cowboy Junkies. "Riding on Empty" is another selection that mimics this arrangement, with Schechter perhaps giving her best performance. The song also has a lovely Velvet Underground tone, culminating with some classical and string touches. "Twin Stars" falls slightly into an alt-country arrangement, but has a somber yet timeless sound at which the band consistently excels. Rod Miller's keyboards also play an important role during the number. Taking a different course on the uptempo "Wounded Walking," an ominous feeling steers the track along the right course. Resembling the soundtrack to a movie that director David Lynch has yet to film, tunes such as "On the Mouth" have a bare-bones format that is eerie and gorgeous at the same time. "Something Good" comes across as the "pop" song here, closely resembling a track Sarah McLachlan might have great success with. Some of the latter compositions don't have the same hold on the listener, including the pretty "Carpenter's Fern." Here the instrumental's opening sounds weary, tired, and a bit aimless. Throughout it all, though, Schechter's voice has a certain style that grabs one's attention like Ute Lemper. "I fail to exist in your eyes," she sings in "Dupe," one of the harder and edgier songs within.
