Došli smo do same završnice šampionata. Sedam vozača i pet timova među pobednicima, tri tima i četiri vozača u trci za titulu. Sasvim zadovoljavajuće.

Staza Interlagos po četvrti put zaredom daće nam odgovor na pitanje o šampionu.
Interlagos su izgradila dvojica građevinskih preduzimača, Carlo Pintacuda i Attilio Marinoni, koji su proveli nekoliko meseci u Evropi trkajući se u tek kupljenim automobilima Alfa Romeo. Po povratku u Brazil kupuju veliko parče zamlje na jugu Sao Paola i planiraju izgradnju velikog stambenog naselja. Međutim ispostavilo se da zemljište ne ispunjava standarde za gradnju kuća i 1936. odlučuju da izgrade stazu.
Sve do samog početka ’70-ih staza nije vožena u F1 šampionatu. 1971. održana je nezvanična trka F1, a dve godine kasnije održana je prva koja je bodovana u šampionatu. U prve tri godine Brazilci su odneli i pobede, Emerson Fittipaldi dve, a zatim i Carlos Pace po kome je staza i dobila ime nakon njegove pogibije u avionskoj nesreći 1977.
Moglo bi se reći da je mesto održavanja trke u Brazilu zavisilo od toga da li je trenutno najpopularniji brazilski vozač iz okoline Rio de Janeira ili Sao Paola. Na početku osamdesetih Fittipaldi se povlači, a Brazil dobija novog heroja- Nelsona Piqueta. Tada se i GP Brazila premešta iz Sao Paola u Rio na stazu Jacarepagua. Deset godina kasnije, Senna je na vrhuncu slave i gradonačelnik Sao Paola počinje razgovore sa Bernie Ecclestoneom o vraćanju trka na Interlagos. Uloženo je oko 15 miliona $, a u rekonstrukciji učestvuje i sam Senna.

Ovo je posebna trka za sve brazilske vozače u F1 i čini se da će uvek dati svoj maximum. Dve trke ostaće upamćene, Piquetov trijumf 1982. u duelu sa Rosbergom i Sennina 1991. u borbi sa u daleko moćnijim Williams- Renaultom. Obojica su se jedva popela na postolje od potpune izmorenosti. Pet vozača je slavilo na domaćoj stazi: Fittipaldi, Pace, Piquet, Senna i Massa.
Kao i sam Brazil, ova trka je puna iznenađenja, pa se dešavalo da na poligonu vrhunske tehnologije padne reklamni pano na vozača (Alesi 2000.), ili se tokom treninga na stazi pojavi pas lutalica. Oko staze se nalaze naselja sa izrazito siromašnim stanovništvom što je dovelo do niza pljački i razbojništva tokom trkačkog vikenda. Na meti su bili i neki od članova Toyotine ekipe 2006.

Staza ima nekoliko krivina neobičnih naziva: Laranjinha-narandža, Pinheirinho-malo borovo drvo itd.

Ovde je jasno, MAS je suvereno uzeo 2006, a 2007 je pustio RAI da bi kao treći završio ALO sa minutom manjka. Trku dobija na 200%, titulu na žalost navijača Ferrarija uzima HAM.

Tu sam negde sa ascarijem po prognozi. Jedino sto moze da nam zazne racun je kisa. Koliko sam video po stranim forumima pominje se ta mogucnost...a ako kisa padne i u Brazilu popizdecu nacisto... :ph34r:

Pridruzujem se prognozama. Hamilton nece reskirati i cenim da i ako osvoji pol nece krvnicki braniti prvu poziciju na startu, sem ako ih opet ne ojadi kao na prosloj trci, sto ne verujem da je moguce.
Dakle, Masa prvi, Hamilton mudro u prva 4 i osvaja titulu.

Title decider to be spiced up by heavy showers


The title decider at Interlagos could be spiced up by t-storms and heavy showers. Weather forecasts for the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend predict showers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with temperatures raising to 24°C.

David Coulthard’s one-off Red Bull paint scheme for his final F1 race in Brazil

The paint scheme is also to raise money for the Red Bull-backed Wings for Life charity. Last year both Red Bulls raced at Silverstone in a livery composed of thousands of photographs of the team’s fans, also to support Wings for Life.

Hamilton versus Massa - the title permutations for Brazil

Either McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton or Ferrari’s Felipe Massa will be crowned 2008 drivers’ champion at this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix. With a seven-point lead, Hamilton is very much the favourite, but as we saw at Interlagos last year - when outsider Kimi Raikkonen came from behind to win - anything is possible. Here is what each man needs in order to take the title…

Hamilton will be champion if:
- He finishes fifth or higher
- He finishes sixth and Massa is second or lower
- He finishes seventh and Massa is second or lower
- He finishes eighth and Massa is third or lower
- He fails to score and Massa is third or lower


Massa will be champion if:
- He wins and Hamilton finishes sixth or lower
- He finishes second and Hamilton is eighth or lower


If the pair are tied on points at the end of Sunday afternoon (which would happen is Massa wins with Hamilton sixth, or if Massa finishes second with Hamilton eighth), Massa would win the title by virtue of more victories (six to Hamilton’s five) or more second-place finishes (three to Hamilton’s two).

In the constructors’ championship, Ferrari’s 11-point advantage over McLaren heading to Brazil puts them in a powerful position, while BMW Sauber’s 10-point deficit to McLaren means they still have an outside chance of stealing second place.


New engines, no jokers - who’s running what in Brazil?


Reliability could play a key part in the outcome of this weekend’s title decider in Sao Paulo. Under the 2008 Formula One regulations, ‘joker’ engine changes are not permitted at the final round of the season, so anyone experiencing a failure ahead of the Interlagos race will definitely take a 10-place grid drop.

In theory, that means those starting the weekend on a fresh V8 have an advantage over those whose engines are on the second of the required two-race cycle. Not only are the newer engines likely to have slightly more power, their drivers will also feel they can afford to push them that little bit harder.

So who has a fresh engine? The majority of the field in fact, including title contender Felipe Massa. His championship rival Lewis Hamilton is one of just seven drivers whose engine will be on its second race. The seven in full are:

Nick Heidfeld, BMW Sauber
David Coulthard, Red Bull
Mark Webber, Red Bull
Nico Rosberg, Williams
